Dual batteries, layered logic boards revealed in iPhone X teardown

Apple expects best ever holiday quarter, estimates $84B to $87B in revenue

But what will Apple do with the Home Button? -
Apple says wearables up 75 percent year-over-year in Q4, Watch up 50 percent vs. Q3
Surprised iPod is there.
I feel like Apple cut iPod way too soon when the niche is still needed especially since the touch made a bad a** gift for kids. Had Apple updated the line this year it would have easily sold millions again. It's pretty clear the watch is the new iPod but it's also strange to cut a product that was still selling in the millions and had a whole category to itself.
An all-screen iPod nano(OMG) with a new exclusive App Store would have made Tickle Me Elmo and Wii look like holiday duds. Add in the fact it's in a category with ZERO competitors and ZERO copy cats and that's easily a 50 million seller. Games, Games, learning apps, Airplay that beams games to Apple TV and changes iPod into controller, Siri Remote App, Apple Music, Bluetooth etc.
Like this except with no bezel or headphone jack. Add in some Apple magic.
Apple TV is gonna lose the whole gaming market unless they take that powerful little thing seriously.
Have you guys seen Seasons of Heaven for the Switch?

The fact Apple TV 4K can run that in 4k Dolby Vision but won't is enough to make me cry at night.
Apple Watch is doing great and I hope Apple keeps up the good work!macxpress said:Ugh that red dot though...people must be buying regular Apple Watches. /s
Fun little known fact. Tim Cook had a red dot on his steel Apple Watch before the first generation even launched. Must have been a design favorite at Apple.

Apple's Q4 iPad sales signal second quarter of resumed growth
This is where Apple pisses me off.
iPad had the strongest start in Apple history and was positioned to take over technology!
Shipping 10 million in a quarter is a joke. For it's potential 10 million shouldn't be "growth" it's depressing.
These charts show the first quarters of iPod, iPhone and iPad sales.
iPad was clearly destined for phenomenal success
What happened?
Apple treats iPhone like the baby of the family and spoils it while throwing iPad to the back as an afterthought. No it wasn't bigger iPhones, it's the fact Apple doesn't do enough to exploit iPads strengths and even cheap outs on the hardware.
I can't believe a product that should be a high end computing device is CHEAPER than iPhone. Really shows what product is getting all the attention.
Apple could easily sell a new $999+ iPad with the most high end components and features needed with a display that large and powerful. A movie studio, an art studio, a recording studio in your backpack, exclusive features, retail push, auto push, hospital equipment, anything Apple can think up to exploit the potential iPad has lost.
iPad Pro helped a little but the truth is Apple isn't doing enough and that means consumers don't have enough reason to own one. -
Apple revenue surges 12% to $52.6B on sales of 46.7M iPhones, 5.4M Macs
AppleInsider please unban Sog and let him have his day!!
Every Apple category saw growth.
OMG this needs to be front page of every tech site.
Services.... There was someone on this site who I will not name(wasn't SOG), who a few years back said hardware sales must have been bad because Cook kept referring to services, a category that isn't a main driver for Apple.
Years later and it all makes sense. Apple wans't hiding "bad" sales but was very honest and meant it when they said services will be a driving force to their future along with hardware.
