Apple drops bundled 3.5mm adapters from all new iPhones, sticks with 5W USB-A power
AppleInsider said:An iPhone X can hit 50 percent charge in as little as 30 minutes, but only when using Apple's Lightning to USB-C cable and an adapter with USB-C Power Delivery. That typically means buying a new cable and a MacBook adapter, the cheapest Apple option for the latter being a $49 30-watt unit.
The $19 12W charger hits 40 percent in 30 minutes, only slightly behind the USB-C options -- and double the speed of the bundled 5W charger.
That really should be the default recommendation when purchasing an iPhone. Spend more if you want but $19 for 2X the charging speed is an extremely good value.

MoviePass says app tracks user location after they leave theaters, CEO says [u]
This is a violation of Apple's store guidelines and should get the app pulled. Here's why. Under settings > location services > MoviePass, they explain they will use tracking data only to "Find Theaters and movies near you, and be able to use the app to get tickets and the theaters". There is nothing about tracking you outside of that purpose. Nothing about your drive to the theater, nothing about where you go after. They are sufficiently vague in their privacy TOS ("supply us with personal information so that we can provide, enhance and personalize our services and marketing efforts"). But they are definitely lying in their "app explanation" regarding location services. -
How to free up your Mac's internal storage by moving your iTunes Library to an external dr...
This article should have mentioned iTunes Match. That has more or less obsoleted this method. Combined with iCloud Music Library it totally frees you from the burden of managing an external drive -- plus it's stored in the cloud so you get an offsite backup of your precious music collection as well. It is Apple's primary solution for this exact problem. I get that there were some rare problems reported with it years ago but it's worth at least discussing here, in an article about "how to free up your Mac's internal storage by moving your iTunes Library..."
