  • Apple Store crash victims sue Apple over '100% preventable' crash

Do the other stores in the mall have large sheets of glass for entrances? Why does Apple have barriers at many of their other stores? How many instances has Apple had of vehicles used in smash in grabs at their stores over the years? If stores "have barriers installed behind their stores in for theft and loss prevention," why not in the front which is much more vulnerable, especially in this instance with a glass wall? There will be depositions and paperwork looked over with a fine-tooth comb in search of answers to all those questions and more. This is just the beginning of the lawsuits with at least two employees already suing (although they're currently not suing Apple, just the driver and the property owners).
What does having large glass windows have anything to do with this? It’s a strip mall. They all have large primarily glass entrances. That’s how retail stores work. They want to show off what they have inside. This accident didn’t happen because they have large windows. It happened because some moron, jammed his foot on the gas and went through an area he shouldn’t have. Apple is not to blame for any of this. This is purely a cash grab by greedy lawyers.

  • EU to say Apple Pay breaks antitrust laws

This is a total overreach. Would it be fair, for example, to force Square to allow other credit card processors like PayPal or Shopify’s software to use the Square credit card reader with their apps? There has to be a line drawn somewhere. Just because it’s popular to bash big tech does not mean it’s legal in this free market economy.

  • AirTag data crucial to recovery of man's lost luggage

I'm not entirely sure that it should be legal for someone to track other people like this and then post the tracking data online, especially when the person being tracked may be guilty of nothing. I'm fairly good at geo-locating places/people and I think there's a better than even chance I could find the name of the person who was handed the bag using this data. But I wouldn't want to post the name of a potentially innocent person on the Internet, because it just doesn't seem right.
And where in this article does this guy track anyone or anything other than his own mishandled property? No names were given, no guilt was implied...this is his bag. Don't make drama where none exists.

I know it's Apple doing it, but is this seriously newsworthy? A streaming service sends its subscribers a marketing email announcing a new episode? How on earth does that justify an article here? I get like 3 emails a week from Netflix and Hulu about new shows and movies too, but nobody is writing stories about that?

Your editorial staff needs to practice a little bit more restraint.
Maybe if the site was named Netflix Insider or Hulu Insider people would write articles about their marketing practices. But, as this little corner of the world is known as Apple Insider, this article is relevant to at least a few readers. You could always just skip the stories that don’t interest you, like almost everybody else does.

And by the way, this wasn’t an editorial.
And by the way...the reason I did take the time to read it was because after seeing the headline, I figured there had to be more to the story than just a run of the mill marketing email being sent to customers. Turns out I was wrong.

Great, well the next time I get a receipt for my iCloud monthly payment, I'll be sure to forward it on to get some front page attention.
