Early iPhone upgraders are deeply committed to Apple's entire ecosystem
Though I am a user of Apple products (iPhones, Airpods, iPads, MACbooks, etc), but not deeply committed. For me, it was time to upgrade iPhones for family so got two iPhone 16 Pro and two 16 Pro Max from Costco AT&T booth. Unfortunately, shipment date is between October 2 and October 16. May be due to the most popular Desert Titanium color which seems the same problem even ordering from the Apple.com or Apple retail stores in my areaCostco deal offer - $100 Costco Card, $35 activation waive, $50 bill credit. This is on top of AT&T deal offer on AT&T site like $1000, 36 months installment/bill credit plan, trade-in credit against our iPhone 13s. Phones are locked to AT&T but ok with us because we are with AT&T for last 15 years. and I have one unlocked iPhone for back up in case need when traveling overseas.

I guess EU folks can go to UK and buy iPhone that may overcome such restriction. Anyway, at some point EU will adopt what rest of the world is already using. -

If iPhone SE 4 closely resembles to iPhone 13 than at least it will retain physical SIM slot.

There are many iPhone users who would want cheaper new iPhone but in 2025 it will be challenge to position SE4 with features and price to be attractive against previous versions of new or used iPhone 13,14,15 at various price point.
