You clowns better not download this today and then cry that it has bugs.

Wait for at least 5 days and then update.
Yep, and then never upgrade again just in case there are still bugs.  In fact, never buy anything new again, ever, just in case there's something wrong with it.
    Its about probability.

wait 5 days and 99% of the bugs should be gone
wait 5 months and 99.9% bugs should be gone

Do the math, waiting about 5 days is the sweet spot for time waiting. The majority of the bugs are found in the first couple days.
Bugs don't just disappear. You know that, right? If there are bugs in 10.1 they won't be fixed until 10.1.1 or 10.2.

  • Apple might debut 'MagSafe-like' USB-C adapter with redesigned MacBook Pro line

Hopefully we get a better source on this, maybe Gurman.

I think a magsafe usb-c connector would be a bad idea, unless it is only used for power. Losing the power on a battery powered laptop for a minute is not a problem. Losing a data connection while you are connected to a network, external drive, or blu-ray burner can be a problem.
If you're docked with that much stuff, the odds of your cabling being in a place where someone could trip over it are beyond remote, assuming the user has even a modicum of competence.

  • AT&T to buy Time Warner for $80B, deal announcement imminent - report [u: confirmed]

Won't this have to pass regulatory approval of some sort?
As long as the correct political contributions have been made, that shouldn't be an issue.

The thing I don't get: does the console work without the portable screen?

Lets say you come home from work and you want to play Zelda. But then you realize your Son took the portable screen to his friends house. Does the Switch still work? If not, then this will lead to a ton of fights in homes with multiple gamers.
The screen is the console. The dock just adds connectivity to the TV and charges the unit.
    That's lame.

So if you live in a multi-gamer household your 'console' could go missing for long stretches.
That's not very different from any other consoles is it? Were you really expecting to get 2x the hardware for a regular console price?
Its different because I don't need to worry that my XboxOne will disappear for many hours. I know it will be in my living room......always.

With this thing, your console could disappear.
LITERALLY DISAPPEAR. NO ONE HAS EVER PRODUCED A SMALL DEVICE LIKE THIS BEFORE. NEVER EVER. GRAVITY MAY STOP WORKING AND THE SWITCH COULD JUST FLOAT INTO THE SKY.

  • 'Hello again:' Apple sends invitations for event on Oct. 27, new MacBook Pros expected

The more important question: what's up with that smoky, deep pink, partially obscured Apple?
Looks like a repurpose of one of the iOS 9 wallpapers.

Side note, now I have The Cars in my head.
