The iMacs aren't exactly ancient; the 27" are on Skylake and the 21.5" are on Broadwell, mostly because Intel didn't have the right Skylake SKU's ready when they released them. They're some of the newest Macs in the lineup.

Rumors have pegged a full iPad event in March, with a lineup refresh and a demo of more iPad specific iOS 10 features. 

Or perhaps people are simply waiting for the hardware to be refreshed.

Funnily enough, the owner of the poor Note has already replaced it with an iPhone 7.

Even if it was, if the airline still had a stated policy of Galaxy phones being turned off and unplugged, then the passenger could be held responsible by Southwest and the other passengers.

The phone was off and unplugged according to the owner. But if the battery was already melting down that wouldn't stop it.
