EU issues edict: April Fools must be observed daily
VictorMortimer said:"It is also the only April Fools piece we will run"What is wrong with tech news sites these days? There's so much great material you could have used to fill the entire front page with good April Fools articles this year. And the only thing we get is this lame nonsense.I mean, just off the top of my head, you could have announced the Apple Car wasn't really canceled and would be available starting today. You could have announced the Apple One Ring To Rule Them All. You could have announced Tim Cook apologizing for the AVP and buying all of them back to be shredded. There's tons more. But instead, you couldn't be bothered to celebrate a holiday that has been a tech news staple for decades.

If you have an iPhone with AT&T, there's a good chance your info has been stolen
eriamjh said:killroy said:Only four digits in the pass code good grief AT&T.How about 2-factor login? How about non-socially stealable questions (not “what street did you live on” or “what city were you born”, but something not guessable from your address or commonly posted info).
Passcode is NOT the password. It's used when someone on your account that's not you wants to upgrade their phone when you are not present.

US DOJ attacks nearly every aspect of Apple's business in massive antitrust suit
pslice said:I realize the DOJ is an independent entity from the political parties, but there are two tech political parties, Apple and the “others”. I think the “others” are in charge of this legal action and it’s driven by their jealousy of Apple’s ecosystem. These “others” need to get over themselves. As a long time Apple consumer, I am really tired of these frivolous lawsuits. Don’t like Apple, don’t buy Apple.
DOJ is not independent. It is a department within the Executive branch, run by an Attorney General that is appointed by the prsident.

US DOJ will finally sue Apple after years of antitrust investigation
VictorMortimer said:About time. Apple has been illegally monopolizing app distribution on iDevices for well over a decade now. It's time for the nonsense to stop.I should be able to install any software of MY choosing on MY iPhone, without interference from Apple.I really hope DoJ doesn't cave and settle. Apple needs to allow normal software installation, without an app store.
Just stop and buy a different phone. Apple is selling the whole package. Hardware, software and the concept of an App store. If you don't like the package, shop elsewhere.
