What is wrong with tech news sites these days?

There's so much great material you could have used to fill the entire front page with good April Fools articles this year.  And the only thing we get is this lame nonsense.

I mean, just off the top of my head, you could have announced the Apple Car wasn't really canceled and would be available starting today.  You could have announced the Apple One Ring To Rule Them All.  You could have announced Tim Cook apologizing for the AVP and buying all of them back to be shredded.  There's tons more.

But instead, you couldn't be bothered to celebrate a holiday that has been a tech news staple for decades.

How about 2-factor login?   How about non-socially stealable  questions (not “what street did you live on” or “what city were you born”, but something not guessable from your address or commonly posted info).

I really hope DoJ doesn't cave and settle.  Apple needs to allow normal software installation, without an app store.
