  • iPhone 16e had stronger demand than iPhone SE 3 did at launch

After all those ridiculous doom and gloom articles, I guess MagSafe isn't a deal breaker for those customers after all.

  • Apple sued for $5M for not recovering data after iPhone theft

"That suit has now entered a discovery phase, which can take between six and eight moths to complete."

If the attorneys hire additional moths, can this be completed sooner? :D

  • Apple Watch to get small hardware changes, big software updates

    SiTime said:
I have an Apple Watch Series 6 and I have very little reason to upgrade. And that’s not because the Apple Watch is a bad product or anything. It’s actually the exact opposite. The Apple Watch is such a good product that I’m still very happy to continue using mine almost 5 years after it was released. Everything that I need my Apple Watch to do, it does.

My Series 6’s battery health is getting a little long in the tooth (at completely normal and expected level after all these years). So that’ll probably be my reason for eventually upgrading (rather than paying $100 or so for a battery replacement). But for now, I can probably get another year or so out of it.

Also… my Series 6 has the blood oxygen feature that the Series 10 and Ultra 2 lack (in the US), lol.

I'm still rocking an S4 that does everything I need it to right now.

  • Mastercard may be in for a fight to stay Apple Card network provider

AmEx lost the plot years ago. They thought they had a business, turns out it was Costco keeping them afloat. You can’t pay with AmEx in most places, nobody wants that stupid card. I hope Apple switches to Visa so I can use it at Costco.
I don’t think I’ve ever been to an establishment that didn’t accept Amex.

  • Netgear Orbi RBK973 review: Premium Wi-Fi 7 for when money is no object

So, I’ve been using the original ORBI router and one satellite for about 7 years.

I got it because my idiot contractor broke the FIOS fiber cable when they were burying it in the wall.
Rather than rip out 100 feet or so of custom base moulding. I got the ORBI system.

Easy setup. Never any problem. The only time I’ve ever had to restart it was to apply firmware updates.
It’s great to have my 11x17 LaserJet connected via Ethernet.

    However, it wasn’t $2000!. Maybe $600? Sheeesh!

I’ve been thinking about upgrading, Not for that price, Why TWO satellites?
I've been using an Orbi RBR-50 system and two sats for years. My home isn't particularly large, but it is two stories. I added the second sat afterwards as I started adding more smart home bulbs, outlets etc. They run much more reliably since I added the second satellite. The router and one sat are upstairs where most of our living takes place and the second sat is in my garage on the lower level. This helps with all the smart home lighting and better extends connectivity to my backyard. Was actually planning to add the outdoor sat, but never needed it.
