Apple is not the issue. They are a private business and face inflation pressures as well.

Did you see the news that Zelensky signed law to bar all dissenting news media and reporters? This on top of him arresting any Ukrainian men trying to leave the country?

After a few failed attempts to be truly "social," the company's approach is now focused on smaller "communities" of friends, family, or other groups.

I would have thought the SE was an important "gateway drug" model for Apple, especially in emerging markets--sure, it's not nearly as profitable as an iPhone pro, but it gets people into the Apple ecosystem, where they're likely to stay once introduced. It was also an interesting way for Apple to repackage iPhone tech from a generation or two back as a "new" phone, so budget customers didn't feel like they were buying an outdated model. Time will tell, and I'm sure Apple's decision, whatever it is, will be driven by their consumer data. 

The cheaper iPhone is important to many corporate buyers,  absolutely a place for it as well as price sensitive consumers or consumers who just want cheapest phone even if they can afford the most expensive one.

I really like using wireless Car Play in my BM, especially Maps which is always more up to date than BM OEM navigation.  But there seems to be a volume level issue with Car Play and I do not like the cartoonist/Disney-like icons/colors displayed when Car Play is in use.  Wish I had more options to change icon sizes, colors and background display.  Guess Apply wants Car Play images to really stand out just like their refrigerator white-only Airpods.
