Breaking down the Coalition for App Fairness' issues with Apple
Thanks for listing the companies I'll avoid from here on (like the plague).
There are two on the list that are lobby conglomerates:The "European Publishers Council" and "News Media Europe".
The first one, EPC, makes it hard to find out whom it represents. So that is dodgy.
The second one has a page on its site with members and the Dutch member is "NDP Nieuwsmedia". As I live in NL that is the one I'm interested in. They also have their members listed and lo and behold, a (very well respected) paper I have the Saturday edition subscription from is also listed there. Time to let it terminate and of course telling them why. It may very well be that this newspaper is fairly clueless that they are a party to this epic brouhaha, but they are, and that has to have consequences. -
iOS 14 MAC randomization privacy feature may cause Cisco enterprise network issues
My AirPort Extreme (flat version 7.8.1) decided to start dropping its signal at random as soon as I had upgraded my iPhone and iPad. It actually stops transmitting AFAICS on my MBP. I have to do a cold reboot a few times a day for it to come back, very annoying.
It could be that it's just EOL, that would be too bad. But what are the odds for this to happen at the exact time of the iOS upgrade?
Has anyone else seen this, or am I the last one still using this Airport base station? -
