Wall Street Journal, The Information, sure. But is an AI staffer named as one of the three journalists? -

Apple's Presto in-box iPhone updater looks like a pizza oven
Hardware and likely software - some of Apple's diagnostics have required a "server" on premises running a proprietary application. This likely has a similar requirement.
This would require the hacker to have access to the Presto hardware and all the documentation about how it works. If a hacker can obtain an iPhone before it's sold, there are far easier ways to hack it.mikethemartian said:I wonder how long it is going to be until someone figures how to use this to hack your iPhone before you purchase it.apple4thewin said:Imagine apple makes data transfer available via magsafe like those patents many years ago -
Apple's Butterfly keyboard repair program winds down soon
VictorMortimer said:I'm not buying that a majority of owners didn't have problems with those horrible keyboards. Some people just lived with it, but given the number of top case replacements I saw come through because of keyboards... nope, it was a problem for almost everybody. Now, I'm not saying I didn't get a few users new batteries for free because the keyboard repair extension existed, but every one of those that I did the user was just living with at least one bad key because they weren't aware they could get it fixed for free. If it hadn't existed I'd have put in a 3rd party battery, because buying a new top case just to change a battery is stupid.
There have been quite a few where the cleaning procedure was successful and a replacement wasn't required. -
Tim Cook sneaks in Apple Vision Pro promo while congratulating Porsche

Here's well regarded site produced by a member of the Austrialian Fire service targeting Firefighting professionals: https://www.evfiresafe.com/ . The home page has a link to a Fully Charged Podcast interview well worth watching.
Their stats page includes this:"Our intial research findings, based on global EV battery fires from 2010-2020, indicate a 0.0012% of a passenger electric vehicle battery catching fire.
While it's difficult to find a similar stat for internal combustion engine (ICE) passenger vehicles globally, a range of country-based reports we found suggest there is a 0.1% chance of an ICE vehicle catching fire."
Edited to remove ambiguity.
