FDA says iPhone 12 MagSafe risk to pacemakers is low
M68000 said:Let’s hope it’s going to be safe having these magnets in phones. I’m wondering about the long term exposure with the device close to the body for long periods of time. There is interesting info on effects of magnets near the body available. It also appears that iron in the blood is different than just regular iron, it’s in a different state. Hopefully Apple did their homework on safety before the go ahead was given to just start using magnets.
Iron in hemoglobin is only weakly magnetic - there also isn't much of it! The properties also vary by oxygenation. https://www.sciencelearn.org.nz/resources/1010-does-blood-have-magnetic-properties

Seven Apple suppliers linked to Chinese forced labor programs
danyak said:Yes, the Uyghur forced labor allegations do appear to be another “WMD” “Steele Dossier” politically and ideologically motivated attack. I’ve read many articles tracing the actual sources of these allegations and they go back to anti-communist and Taiwan separatist groups and individuals and an uncritical mainstream media that seems intent on magnifying US policies of demonizing nations that don’t toe the US line. It’s like WMD and Russian Collusion and many similar scenarios where vague and ambiguous “links” and “possible” evidence then are repeated until they become accepted fact in US media. No Lynch mobs, please.

M1 iMac, Apple TV 4K, iPad Pro will ship on May 21 says leaker
lkrupp said:Speaking of the Apple TV 4K is there some sort of migration assistant process when I replace my Apple TV HD with the new model. Will I have to re-download all of my apps or will signing in with my Apple ID cause those apps to be downloaded to the new model? Will I have to sign back in to those apps like Netflix, Disney+, Peacock, etc. ?
You can synchronize your Home Screen between multiple devices, but that doesn't carry over your log-ins
