CarPlay and Apple Maps updates spotted in leaked iOS 14 code
Soli said:Something just occurred to me when looking at the first image, does Apple let you switch the location for the CarPlay items if you're driving a car with the driver seat on the right side? I'd hate to have that set up and have to reach all the way to the end of the infotainment system just to hit the Home Button.

Now if only GM would (or could?) offer wireless CarPlay via a software update like Ford has in some models. The plug in option isn't bad, but sometimes you start driving and haven't set it up… and distracted driving penalties (crash!) definitely aren't worth it! -
Coronavirus forcing isolation of factory workers, cut in Foxconn growth estimates
bennettvista said:The corona virus can live on glass/metallic surfaces for over 5 days. The supply chain from factory to USA stores in 3 days. Hope someone is disinfecting the iPhones!!!!

"It’s currently unclear if a person can get 2019-nCoV by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes."
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/faq.html
In general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of 2019-nCoV associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of 2019-nCoV in the United States associated with imported goods.

iPhone 11 Pro said to emit twice the FCC's legal limit for RF radiation
Several years ago CBC Marketplace did an interesting story on RF testing - it was fascinating when they explored how different manufacturers interpreted the tests.
Apple tested at the minimum required distance (5mm?) while Samsung iirc tested at the maximum distance (15mm).
Marketplace even ran their own tests using a gel head to make sure the proximity sensors worked and confirmed the manufacturers passed.

Hands on: Apple Pro Display XDR
AppleInsider's coverage has been quite good on the XDR.
This article from c|net is also a good read and really explains the what/why of the XDR vs. the sarcastic comments.

Not every Mac Pro is assembled in Texas
