The Wallet app appeared in 2012. Apple started approaching partners for ApplePay in 2013. This patent appears to be from 2014.

Initially Apple didn't discuss why the slowdown had happened or point out that it could be remedied with a new battery. Those announcements happened months later after the slow-down was proven by a third party.

You missed the part about it partly blocking the entry to a park, and taking up part of a space used for public performances.

The park is long and narrow - the location is at one of the narrow ends.

I don't think the plan is to curate the news as in censor what stories you see.

Apple's best option (as with music) is to offer as much as they can of reputable, ethical, responsible publications.

*any music you can't find is probably restricted by the Artist/label. Complain to them!

I was going to joke about California traffic jams and then I checked the satellite pictures on Google and Apple maps… it looks like a ghost town!
