Well, there's a paint by Behr called Jet White. Probably just means shiny or glossy at this point, rather than based on historical definition. With that said, I'd love to see if this pans out. Will make my decision on a new iPhone a little bit harder.

Huawei CEO claims company can overtake Apple in 2018
That's all well and good, but are these phones any good quality wise? I know Apple prefers quality over quantity and it shows. Sure, Huawei can ship 50 million+ phones and overtake Apple's marketshare, but how long do they hold up and with what support after purchase? Apple has both of those covered. Can't see them making any money either.

Apple debuts affordable 13" MacBook Pro model, axes 11" MacBook Air
Ouch. This new Apple lineup is way too rich for me now. Entry level MBP is $1899 CDN, for what seems to be an afterthought of a computer. Seems like its purpose is to push you to the upgraded Touch Bar versions. To get the Touch Bar, it goes to $2299. Before today, those were 15" MBP prices. Yeah, I get it's new with a new design and specs. but wow. Even the base model MacBook is $1649. Pretty tough to get into a Mac these days, unless you want an old or used one first.

Mysterious overnight activity at Apple stores presages Thursday's Mac event
I'm pretty excited for this. There hasn't been a Mac-centric event in quite some time. Or at least, where they were the focus of the show. Usually they're introduced as just part of something else. Looking forward to what's in store for this one.

Apple registers Russian trademarks for three new MacBooks ahead of Oct. 27 event
Wonder what will be on that 13" MacBook to justify its spot alongside the 12"? Can't be just a 13" version of the standard MacBook, that would make no sense for Apple to do. Hopefully it'll have the more powerful Skylake processors and maybe a few more ports to differentiate it. Could it be an ARM powered laptop? macOS has added the ARM Hurricane family support to the code. Maybe this'll be its introduction? Would be pretty cool and would be the groundbreaking thing to justify the Hello Again tagline for the event. Just thinking out loud here.
