Reddit is well aware of how the App Store works. They sell their own subscriptions. They could've avoided this disaster by giving enough notice to developers. But instead chose to drop a financial bomb. I get a lot of value out of the communities I participate in on Reddit. But this is yet another example of social media corporate overreach that plays out over and over again. Time to phase Reddit out too....

I’ll just pay in full. I like my $30/mo unlimited service through Mint Mobile and have for years. 

Besides author-read books by household name celebrities, I am 100% on board with AI Narration. I stopped listening to an author-read book from a writer clearly struggling with some sort of GI/throat/sinus issue AND stopped listening to a talent-read book that sounded like it was being read by a smarmy 1950's radio advertiser AND I stopped listening to a nonfiction book voiced by the writer's SON... who clearly fancied himself a capital-T thespian and overacted and over enunciated every word.

Based on that experience, I'd imagine a general distaste for audiobook voicing quality is holding back the market.

In adition, I can barely tolerate the bugs and awfuil UI. Sadly I can tolerate the low budget scammy advertisements even less.
