Apple calls iPhone X preorders 'off the charts' after rapid sellouts
DavidAlGregory said:If A Hot Dog vendor only has 20 Dodger Dogs at the World Series he is going to sell out quickly.
Next we we will hear that supplies are constrained on the HomePod and Black (not Pro) iMac and how quickly they sold out. -
First look: Apple Watch Series 3 and AirPower
slurpy said:I was surprised they didn’t even acknowledge the red crown. It seemed pretty un-Apple like to have such a strong colour as a default accent on all models, so I assumed it was tied to some important new feature. I guess not. Was the primary purpose differentiation from earlier models? I’d be very interested in hearing the internal thinking. Just seems..strange, and it in line with their typically understated design ethos. -

Schlage Sense smart lock Wi-Fi adapter coming, does not extend HomeKit connectivity
jbdragon said:What I look for in getting a lock, is making sure it doesn't h ave that crap SmartKey feature. This is where there's a little hole on the left next to where you install the Key. This lets you easily program the lock to use a different key. Instead of the normal having to pull apart and put new pins in. The problem is, all the plastic used inside to make this possible. Using a simple tool, you can break through the lock in about 10 seconds. When done even lock the door backup. Of course the lock is destroyed internally at that point. Your key will in general continue to work until it just fails. So when I see these so called Smart Locks with the Smart Key feature, I say no thanks!!! Of course I went to home depot looking to get a rekey set and now they don't sell them anymore?!?! Really? LAME! A year ago a Rekeyed 6 locks at my house. 3 of them Deadbolts. Wasn't to, to hard. All the locks now use the same key. Makes things nice. -
Apple's 2017 Back to School promo offers wireless Beats with Macs & iPad Pros
larrya said:Beats wireless headphones are among the worst reviewed devices on Apple's own website. Was going to get Powerbeats 3 or BeatsX, but they seem to have high failure rates.
