  • No charges filed in alleged gun threat involving Apple's Dr. Dre

If he didn't, wouldn't that hurt his brand's image?
Be careful, your racism is showing
You gotta be kidding. You don't think Dr. Dre built his fame on gang life in Compton? It's just what it is. It's his brand. Good for him for transforming his hardships growing up in Compton into an empowerment movement that helps people persevere.

  • US Treasury Secretary to meet with EU antitrust head, try to block collection of Apple back taxes

The EU a.k.a. Germany are just extorting U.S. firms like Apple with their "back taxes" scheme.... If no international body (WTO?) will step in and prevent this type of behavior, the U.S. needs to start playing equally dirty with all big European corporations doing business in the United States.  (BMW, VW, etc.)  Meanwhile we should be strengthening our future economic ties with the U.K., who, unlike Germany, are actually our friends.
Taking into account that most of the fines for illegal state aids and that most of the fines for anti competitive behaviour have gone to EU companies, perhaps you should provide some link to your claims

And yet people are confused why the Brits wanted out of the EU.
the "English" wanted out. don't tar us all with the same brush. Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Welsh part of Wales (the north, not the english south) all voted to remain.
There are too many regulations or attempts at regulatory overreach by the EU. That's what he was probably referring to.

So basically Apple goes out of its way to not only make it cheap to get into the store, but provides development tools at no cost so any developer can create an app with ease, and not incur any costs if they don't make any money off sales in Apple's App Store? Sounds like Apple makes it pretty easy for others to compete.
If a developer is not making money from app store sales, he is losing $100/yr. At any rate, the OP claimed that Apple was letting Spotify in its store "rent free" when that is patently false.
If $100/year is a lot of money to your business, you really need to rethink your business strategy. Hell, you've really got to rethink your life!
