Craig Federighi says macOS would ruin what makes the iPad special
It's not "simplicity" keeping Apple from enabling multiple user accounts on iPad OS, or iOS for that matter.
It's greed: Apple wants to sell more devices. They don't want parents sharing their devices with their children. And they don't want power users consolidating their accounts onto fewer devices.
That's fine for some but is a burden for struggling families and travelers.
Oddly enough, VisionOS appears to now support multiple user accounts, albeit linked to individual iPhones. -
Starlink Wars: Elon Musk still battling Apple over iPhone satellite connectivity
"Buy from me or I'll sue you." Quite literally what Elon told Twitter advertisers who left his platform when he turned it into a toxic cesspool. Elon acts more like a hormonal middle school child than an adult.
Add this to reports in the press that Trump decided to impose his 25% Tariff/Sales Tax on Apple products because Tim Cook failed to obsequiously fawn over him at his big birthday celebration in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
America is being run by petulant children driven more by their hurt feelings than by what's best for America and Americans. -

Trump gives Apple a giant break with wide-ranging tariff exemptions
Trump's Tariff/Sales Tax is modeled on the Tariff Taxes levied on Americans before income taxes were instituted in 1935. The Tariff Taxes are, per Project 2025, meant to replace the income tax.
- Under Trump’s Tariff/Sales Tax Plan people living paycheck to paycheck will pay 27% of their incomes in tariff and sales taxes.- Those wealthy enough to save 1/2 of their incomes will pay 13.5% of their incomes in tariff and sales taxes.- Billionaires who invest most of their incomes pay next to nothing in taxes relative to their incomes.
Tariffs will bankrupt farms and small businesses allowing billionaires and venture capitalists to buy property for pennies on the dollar. Home ownership will become a footnote in history. Neo-feudalists led by their intellectual guru, Curtis Yarvin, tout a corporate monarchy in which all but a very few billionaires and millionaires live in indentured servitude at the beck and call of the upper classes. They want to bring back the Middle Ages and make themselves our lieges.
But all is not lost. We will still have our iPhones on which to watch cat videos.
