How Apple's smart home revolution begins in 2025
OMG!! Don't get me started on HomeKit!!
If I set up an Automation or Shortcut that manages multiple HomeKit light bulbs and/or switches, and if someone accidentally flips off a power switch or if a device loses its WiFi connection, the Automation or Shortcut FAILS halfway through with NO EXPLANATION beyond "something wasn't responding".
Good luck figuring out which device it is. Apple hasn't addressed this OBVIOUS FLAW in all the years HomeKit has existed.
And don't get me started on Meross. If someone accidentally flips off a light switch, chances are 50/50 you'll need to factory reset the bulb to get it working again. AND their bulbs and outlet switches randomly lose their WiFi connections and, again, chances are 50/50 you'll have to factory reset the device. Worse, their bulbs are DYING after LESS THAN TWO YEARS.
Currently in process of switching everything to Wiz w/ Matter (and a few Leviton outlet dimmers) and considering other smart home controller options. -
No, Apple is not going to delete the Clown emoji from the iPhone

Apple Original sci-fi drama 'Invasion' renewed for third season
chasm said:lesterkrimbaugh said:It's a soap opera. A long, boring soap opera. Guy cheats on his wife, girl falls in love with astronaut, tragedy ensues – and every once in a while an alien CGI blob pops up and kills a bunch of people. Pfft.
Too harsh?
