It's a soap opera. A long, boring soap opera. Guy cheats on his wife, girl falls in love with astronaut, tragedy ensues – and every once in a while an alien CGI blob pops up and kills a bunch of people. Pfft.

Too harsh?

This begs the question: Why didn't Apple include a tiny rechargeable battery in the VisionPro headset?

When the main battery dies, or if you simply swap the main battery, the headset must be rebooted.

Yes you can recharge the main battery while using the device but that may not be feasible when at a work site.

A small rechargeable battery in the headset could maintain low power during a battery swap and power an AirTag.

I see others have already proposed this for the next version.

C'mon Tim. Wouldn't you buy these if they had googly eyes on the external display?

Why doesn't Apple just buy Masimo outright?
Their market capitalization is $6.25 billion, a fraction of the $61 billion Cash-on-Hand that Apple has in petty cash.
And Apple gets all Masimo's other medical tech which fits right in with Apple's business model.
Maybe Apple is trying to drive down Masimo's stock price before scooping them up.

Maybe swap space is faster on Apple Silicon but when you open a large photoshop file or video it makes a difference.
