  • Rumor: Apple developing proprietary mobile GPU, could replace Imagination's PowerVR

Fudzilla has been around for a long time...... If you had follow the tech scene.

Anyway. There is absolutely zero chance Apple make a GPU themselves. Why? there is no standard way for designing a GPU, even Intel had to pay patents licensing fees to AMD and Nvidia for their Iris Graphics.

So basically starting from scratch isn't an option. The Gfx engineers are there to optimise the GPU within SoC and further improve on it.
Right now, Apple designs their own custom SoC by licensing the core ARM architecture. Why can't they design their own GPU by licensing Imagination Tech's core GPU architecture?

  • Apple's Eddy Cue hints at new Remote app for Apple TV, says over half of fourth-gen buyers are upgra

Its interesting that the timing of this announcement coincides with the rumor that there will be a brand new TV released early next year as well. Regardless, I will definitely wait until I see how all this pans out before I upgrade my TV 3.
there will most certainly not be another new ATV early 2016. that would be insane this one just came out.
It wouldn't be unprecedented. The third gen iPad was released in March of 2012 and the fourth was released in November of that same year
Although that's true, that upgrade schedule was an anomaly.

  • Rumor: Apple to host March 2016 event for new Apple Watch, 4-inch iPhone

I would be surprised if Apple introduced a second generation watch after only a year.   Every two the three years might be a reasonable refresh rate.   What they might do is introduce a first generation watch with a different form factor (round face?).  I am also a fan of introducing smart bands, and those could be introduced annually.

What's so surprising? There is a huge number of Apple users that didn't buy the 1st gen and many, like myself, waiting on future iterations. I don't think Apple is expecting current owners to upgrade (although I'm sure a healthy number will). With many waiting for greater functionality, the 2nd generation could and should enjoy much greater sales.
Exactly.  When you look at iPhone, it didn't really "take off" & become mainstream until iPhone 4. I don't expect any different from Apple Watch.
