  • Why the iPhone 12 Pro is worth the upgrade cost

This article adds a lot of fluff. The only improvement is the cameras and extra 2GB of RAM.

The trade-offs are heavier stainless steel which is really shiny and shows off finger greasy because of the flat sides. The frosted back is less grippy.

Both phones have the same processors. It just comes down to those cameras. I upgraded from 7 Plus to 12. I’m pleased with the design but I miss the telephoto lens and I dislike the reach of always accessing the control center and Face ID...wish they had put Touch ID in the side power button.

  • Spotify says Apple One bundle is a 'threat to collective freedom' [u]

Apple releases a bundle to attract more customers. Oh my God! It’s the end of Spotify were to greedy to lower or prices in competition!

Given the state of Spotify profits, saying they are greedy would be pushing it... Most of their costs are licensing costs to the music industry (around 75%), so they're not free to lower it either.

Using a dominant position in one market to gain market share in another is usually considered bad - in particular, I guess bundling it with iCloud storage. If they just bundled it with AppleTV+ I don't think Spotify (or customers) would care.
Apple offering a bundle of its services for its appliance. It’s a win for Apple customers. It’s easy to manage. I buy an Apple device. Then I get Apple One. Now I can save on the cloud, listen to music, play games, watch new stuff from Apple. This is the digital service to easily make the iPhone and iPad(and Mac) more enjoyable. I’m in!

  • Apple working on folding iPhone display with more robust bend radius

Aaaaaaand still don’t need a folding screen.

Although, if anyone was to do it right, I would put my bet on Apple!

  • Compared: 2019 iPad 7th generation vs iPad Pro vs iPad Air & mini

The difference between the 10.2” new iPad and the fully laminated 10.5” iPad Air are much more than stating the thickness of the device.

It’s noticeable looking through the thicker glass and when you’re tapping your fingers away on it, it feels chintzy and hollow with low drumming tap sounds.

Comparably the thinner laminated display is thick and solid and feels like you’re viewing the display right at the surface.

i know this because I manage an iPad program at a Japanese Language school and I’ve spent too much time with iPads for the last four years. 🤪

  • Editorial: Apple just told you that they aren't going to make an 'iPhone SE 2' any time so...

I want a modern iPhone that is not huge, heavy and $1000+

I have a three year old iPhone 7 Plus and I want to downgrade in size. iPhone XR / 11 is roughly the same size but thicker and heavier. That leaves only the very pricy XS / 11 Pro series.

All I can do is trade in and get an iPhone 8 or pony up too much cash and get an iPhone Pro I don’t need. Obviously there is a missing option here.
