But of course they would.  They would have purchased the HP with one sound signature and the update would have created a different one.  The complaint is it's different.  Whether or not that's factual remains to be seen since the release notes are vague and uninformative.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the industry, but the money Apple has spent is comparatively small.  Apple is rumored to have war-chested a billion dollars for content acquisition.  Comparatively, Netflix spent $6 billion for content in 2017 and is rumored to drop $8 billion this year.  For perspective, Apple's entire R&D budget was $10 billion.

Apple has the money to outspend anyone.  No doubt.  They've chosen not to do so.  The money they've spent thus far is conservative for entertainment.

You didn't actually read your evidence did you?  I say that because everything in that article was true... for 2009.  Almost 10 years later things might be a little different.  We all understand the narrative you're trying to push.  You just need better, more timely, and more relevant evidence to help push it.   An article from nearly a decade ago is none of those things.

Hate to be the guy that threadjacks but not sure why AI isn't all over Microcenter offering the base config of the iMac Pro for $1000 off the regular price.  They have them for $3999.  Must buy in store.  Stores average about 5 units per location. A lot of the locations had up to 10 available.  I'm guessing that's a better story than Apple has some new ads.  Apologies if I'm breaking protocol here.
