    “In the making” suggests to me that they will show not only products that will go on sale later this year, but probably demo products that are still in development and scheduled for future release next year.

    Bloomberg has an article out about a reverse engineering car firm Munro and Associates, a firm of manufacturing experts contracted by OEMs and suppliers to tear down cars and car parts to the very last nut and bolt. They concluded that Tesla is way ahead of everyone else except....manufacturing. They say that if the model 3 was built by a true car company it would blow away the competition. It’s lack of expertise building cars is Tesla’s biggerst problem.

    What if...Ford’s decision to exit the car market and focus on trucks and commercial vehicles is it’s way of opening production to building Apple’s cars? Apple using Ford’s expertise, factories, dealer networks sounds like a plan.  Of all the American car companies I think Ford is the best and only one i trust. I think if Apple does indeed build a car it would probably be with Ford.

    Car? I don’t think so. There is something so cool in a company that can sell high margin items in tiny little boxes that can be shipped via ups and fed ex and returned the same way vs something that has so many liabilities, needs tires, upholstery, brakes and servicing in garages and all the headaches that go with that. Yeah no way. This is the Apple TV all over again.

    Let’s remember Ford is stopping car production to focus mostly on trucks and commercial vehicles. Tesla is not making any money really. A car factory? Where? China? The US?

    It just sounds like a terrible idea all the way around.

    McDonald's is pretty much the lowest of the low, at least here in the USA. Not the case in other countries. McDonald's in Japan is a high-quality fast food operation. Their food is much better than the US stores.
    Not everywhere in the USA. We do have some pretty nice McDonald's here in California with the touch screen ordering like they do in Japan and other countries. The one I went to in Chicago recently was very nice. Just as nice as the ones in Europe and Asia. I think McDonald's is hit or miss in any country. The one I ate at in Seoul was terrible. I stopped in Dortmund driving to Denmark over the summer and that one was pretty good.
    Yeah all the McDonalds Ive been to here in California have been relatively nice clean places to stop. I’m not saying the food is healthy but the places are clean. The Sacramento one was the first McDonalds i’ve been to where it was just plain gross.
