I just watched a handful of the early YouTube reviews. People consistently say, "wow, this feels amazing in your hand." The absence of that in-person wow factor is definitely going to inhibit sales for a while.

Also, between the Pro and the Mini, the Pro is definitely more of an enthusiast, early-adopter kind of device. The initials sales of the 10S and 10S Max were higher than the XR, but in the long run the XR sold far more units; no reason not to expect a similar pattern.

I use Duck Duck Go on my iPhone because Google AMP is an abomination — which totally sucks, because while the stuff I want from my Mac are mostly pretty good on DDG (technical stuff, research), the stuff I want on my phone (local businesses and news, shopping, recreational reading) is dogcrap.

Monopoly and consolidation suck but if Google is going to blow it and DDG isn't up to the task, then fine, one more Apple service to rely on, sign me up.

That's definitely weird, but if true it answers a lot of questions… larger Macbook Pros in the past were differentiated by discrete GPUs, this would explain how the 13" and 16" lines can continue to be differentiated… also provides a solution for external GPUs and Mac Pros, where Radeon cards aren't going to work anymore.

I would bet very heavily on Mac Mini being the first to ship, alongside a modestly specced laptop. It'll have high appeal for developers, who are necessary to finish the transition, and it'll be the very easiest computer to pump out of the assembly line.
