  • Apple, Samsung beaten to foldable phone by clunky Royole FlexPai

There's some guy on Youtube who is always going bat-sh!t-crazy about Samsung being the first to have some foldable smartphone and I really don't understand what's so great about having one. At this point in time, they're really some quite impractical and unnecessarily bulky. I certainly have no interest in owning some floppy smartphone. I honestly like the traditional slab and don't see any practical reason for a smartphone that folds and becomes wider than a slim smartphone. A folding smartphone might have some use if when it snapped open it would be almost solid like a slab but I don't want any smartphone that's like a limp magazine when it's open. I'm sure the folding technology is going to be expensive, so I wouldn't want to own the earliest models. I guess it's great for being the first one on your block to have one, but other than that, I'll pass. I honestly like having a big slab of a smartphone even if folding ones were available.

  • J.P. Morgan, Rosenblatt upbeat on Apple following launch of new Macs and iPad Pros

Of all the FANG stocks and tech stocks, in general, Apple's stock was the most laggard. Yes, it was up, but less than stocks that had no exciting event. I'm only saying that the Apple event didn't really charge up investors all that much to double-dip on Apple. Those iPad Pros seemed really exciting but I'm not sure if the enterprise is going to be turning to Apple for tablets even if they are powerful. I don't actually know what enterprise users are looking for but I would think it's some device with a keyboard. I hope Apple is wiser than I am. The whole tablet market seems rather weak as though people aren't quite interested in them. I think I'd always choose a laptop with a keyboard over a tablet without a keyboard.

  • First look at the new space gray 2018 Mac mini

At those prices, the Mini will go they way of the Cube. Then Apple will claim that there was no interest... Um, duh!
I disagree. I believe they'll be used in a lot of server farms and in the enterprise for companies that use Apple products. It's just my opinion/hope. I think these Mac Minis are built like bricks and will last a long, trouble-free time. There's not much that can fail on them. If I spend $1700 on a Mac Mini tailored for my needs and the Mac Mini lasts five trouble-free years, I'll definitely feel I got my money's worth. I don't care if a Windows PC NUC is cheaper or slightly more powerful, I'm still going with the Mac.

  • ASP increases, blurred lines over iPad as computer are giant positives for AAPL

Not that it matters much to me, but while AAPL is still above a trillion market cap, the market “golden” boy AMZN which was expected to hit that mark “anytime” now, is now sitting way down at US750 billion. That’s a HUGE drop.
Don't worry. Wall Street will again start pumping Amazon stock higher with their usual call of "Buy Amazon while it's still cheap." That strategy never fails to get greedy big investors back into Amazon. They believe in Lord Bezos to keep buying more and more companies to take over every market he can to put other companies out of business. I'm guessing big investors don't think Amazon will ever be targeted as being a monopoly. As wealthy and powerful as Bezos is, it's doubtful even the Feds will come after him. I'm willing to bet in a few months the FANG stocks will again rise in power. Those FANG stocks have been carrying the market for a couple of years, so I'm sure all of those FANG stocks will be pumped by analysts to keep the money flowing. Everyone believe Amazon is too big to fail, so the stock will be again be "blessed" as golden once again. Nearly all of Wall Street wants Amazon to dethrone Apple as the highest market cap company. Amazon is considered a god CEO unlike Tim Cook who is considered an idiot.

I've never understood why Wall Street completely ignores Apple's retail stores and considers them having zero value. Apple has spent plenty of time and money placing those stores all over the globe. That feat hasn't been duplicated by any other computer/tech company and those stores would seem to be quite valuable in terms of customer loyalty. I have never heard anyone on Wall Street praise Apple for having so many Apple retail stores. One would think those retail stores would be recognized as a moat of some sort for Apple because they're rather unique.
