Apple bought back a record $23.5B of AAPL shares in Q1 as Wall Street peddled "full panic ...
anton zuykov said:gmgravytrain said:It's wonderful to hear Apple bought back so many shares when the gutless sheep dumped their Apple stock. I held fast because I'd heard all that panic crap in past Apple financial quarters and it meant absolutely nothing as far as Apple being particularly doomed. I really hate the fact that lying analysts can so easily deceive shareholders and potential investors. -
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway bought another 75M Apple shares in Q1
Mr. Buffet does his own research when buying stock. I doubt he listens to any of those jackass analysts. Analysts definitely have a beef against Apple. They all think that Amazon should be the top company on Wall Street because they all worship Jeff Bezos and his dreams of building an unbeatable monopoly.
Honestly, how many times has Tim Cook warned analysts not to use supply chain information to predict iPhone sales? Yet those analysts do the same thing each and every financial quarter a couple of weeks before Apple earnings. They're either stubborn or stupid or maybe both. They're always finding something negative they can write in their reports about poor iPhone sales to scare shareholders to toss their stock into the toilet.
"Don't buy Apple. Buy FANG stocks, instead." It's always that same garbage. Those analysts all believe If a company doesn't have double-digit revenue growth then it's not worth buying. It's that greed mentality that's ruining the stock market and costing naive investors millions of dollars in losses. Full panic mode for Apple... disgusting. At least hold Apple for the dividends. It's much better than bank interest.

Apple iPad expands to 28.8% market share, growing in contracting tablet market
It's rather unfortunate iPads can't compete against Chromebooks in schools. Apple still has a way to go to figuring things out. If Chromebooks are winning based on the higher cost of the iPad then it's an impossible task in the U.S. where schools are limited in their budgets. Of course, there are markets where Apple products simply don't belong in. In order to maintain quality in a product, a company can't cut costs on components unless they're willing to take a financial loss. Apple isn't willing to take any losses. I don't know how Apple managed to have such high market share in schools in the 1980's. They must have taken financial losses or schools were willing to spend more for Apple computers. -
Apple R&D spending continues to grow in lockstep with iPhone, AR projects

If Apple wants to build low-powered, energy-efficient desktops for the consumer masses, that's fine, but at least offer powerful BTO models for professionals. I really don't see the point in building desktop computers with mobile GPUs. I'd think Apple is just putting itself at a disadvantage against Windows desktops running GTX 1080 GPUs as nearly standard equipment. And that thing about Apple restricting fan speed on an iMac Pro... Utterly unbelievable when most companies offer software for precise fan control for every situation. I'd want to ramp up my computer fans if it's a matter of cooling down my computer's internal components. I'd rather plug my ears with cotton, if that's the case.
