Exactly. I have had the same experience several times. Be polite and make your case. I have never had an experience with Apple where they didn’t go the extra mile in the customers favor. As you said, if not free, they will usually at least give you a substantial discount like 50% off the regular price.fastasleep said:Okay... a part failure out of warranty is kinda just that. Compared: iPhone SE versus iPod touch
Cheap refers to quality. Inexpensive refers to price. The new SE is not cheap.

I don’t think anyone is surprised by this. The original SE did the same thing. It takes nothing away from the solid value of the new SE. No need to reinvent the wheel.

According to this link it is compatible with iPad 7, iPad Pro 10.5, and iPad Air 3. I thought I remembered reading when these were introduced that the iPad 7 model was slightly different in size.
