This is the same country that is burning down 5G towers because they spread Coronavirus.

When you leave a board, its typically to avoid a conflict of interest. He will show up at another telecom or tech company soon. I don’t think he’s a fit for Apple. He’ll more likely show up at a SpaceX/Tesla or well-backed startup to head a new (satellite?) communications effort... My own speculation.

From my experience Verizon has best coverage nationally, but maybe this acquisition will turn a two horse race into a three horse race? Apple 5G handsets should kick start the transition, crossing my fingers that there is no delay of the Fall iPhone 2020 release.

We can see how this plays out:
1. France demands that Apple change restrictions in iOS
2. France government creates a half/ass tracking application with inadequate security & testing
3. France requires all citizens to install it
4. Users phones get hacked and/or stop functioning correctly
5. France blames Apple
6. France sues Apple

Hmm ... a controller... to be launched with the 'next gen' Apple TV sporting an A14, 512GB RAM, 8 core integrated GPU graphics and backed with a few A titles from the major game publishers :-) ... Not too far fetched.
