Maybe Google agreed to this inclusion as forgiveness for stealing iOS users data, or possibly Apple just knocked some money off the multi-billion Google search agreement.

Now if Apple just improved Apple Music’s interface/usability/algorithms ala Spotify and offered an HD option ala Tidal that would make it much more attractive for many - me included. Apple clearly needs to convert Spotify users to build market - a playlist/preferences migration tool would also be cool and helpful.

Getting the casual music listener on board is more challenging - mainly those that use Amazon Prime’s ‘free but limited’ music streaming on Amazon devices. I would be shocked if they were able to negotiate native inclusion on Amazon devices.

Oh ... and Verizon’s offer of free Apple Music will help too. Bring other wireless providers on board and that will change the game.

Qualcomm, go ahead keep your chips from Apple, sell to the Chinese and help them destroy Apple. The reality: networks won’t be operational until 2020 anyway - but fake news will report that Apple has lost its innovation (by not including costly technology components for a technology that customers can’t use?). Intel is in trouble - they always made big, energy sucking monolithic chips. They’ve failed to shrink their dies. Their radios are far behind Qualcomm. Apple needs a Plan B — hence movement to A processors in the Mac, an ongoing effort to develop their own radios, which is an incredibly difficult undertaking. This will take time - and this industry moves very fast. Apple still needs to figure out memory chips and displays. The Chinese have the advantage of government subsidies in these areas and Samsung has the memory and displays already figured out. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the next 24 months.

5 nm - this will be the chip used for the start of A-based Macs. Apple will save substantially from not having to pay Intel for their CPUs, that they may even put more than one in a computer ala BeOS - imagine that.

An update to Premiere Pro on my Windows based system is available today, so this bug may affect all platforms. And yes,for the apple fan boys reading this, windows sucks ;-)

Apple missed an opportunity to introduce a new design for the 20th anniversary last year. Although a great current design, i will surely be disappointed if it doesn’t change - at the very least trim those bezels! I will also call BS if the starting config has anything less than a 512GB SSD. The mini has a ridiculous 128GB.
