  • Samsung removes ads mocking Apple after removing headphone jack

Hypocrites! It is far easier (and cheaper) to let others trail-blaze for you. Samsung lacks “courage”.

  • Apple quietly bought $17B more after record high $24B Q2 stock repurchase [u]

It’s a far cry from what Michael Dell would’ve done. But in retrospect, Dell wasn’t any worse than most financial analysts are in predicting Apple’s success or failure.

  • Samsung's new Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ arrive on Aug. 23

The whining over the loss of the headphone jack has already begun at The Verge.  :D And the statement by the Samsung spokesperson seems to imply that going forward, no Samsung flagship will have a 3.5” headphone port. Let the user hostility commence. /s
That’s because Samsung didn’t have the “courage” to cut the headphone cord in 2016. It’s much easier when somebody else trail-blazes for you. It’s precisely because of Apple’s decision 3 years ago to eliminate the headset jack that there are so many more audio bluetooth options for cell phones now, making Samsung’s decision much easier, sans the whining of their fanboys.

  • At Samsung Unpacked, CEO Satya Nadella escalates Microsoft partnership

    Too little, too late.

If Samsung has rushed these devices in the same way they rushed the Note 7 out the door to beat the iPhone 7 in 2016, maybe they will explode spontaneously as well. Ahhh...maybe Samsung only rushed the Note 10 in the same way they rushed the Fold. In that case, these devices will simply fail in the hands of reviewers. In either case, Samsung has the same litany of gimmicky features (like monkeys blindly hurling their poop against the wall to see what “sticks”) that will be hardly remembered in a year or two.

  • Apple vs. VirnetX legal battle still raging over $439.8 million FaceTime ruling

     Does VirnetX actually manufacture anything?
As in, are any products manufactured, featuring the  VirnetX technology?
Manufacturing a product is not a prerequisite of a patent validity... particularly for software patents.
That is exactly what is wrong with current patent law - unless one is required to actually produce or sell something which actively utilizes the specific patent, the law encourages trolls.
