  • Coinbase CEO accuses Apple of antitrust behavior, calls for crypto-compatible phones

Now what ten years, fifteen years later, my mind has not changed. I won’t go near the stuff. I keep thinking if the saying attributed to PT Barnum.
Had you invested $1 in crypto 12 years ago, it would be worth $20,000 today. No matter how you slice that, it still beats any currency or commodity growth on the face of this plant.
That’s easy to say after the fact. Moving forward it means nothing no matter how great the past history. Like a good number of things being early counts for a lot. By the time others figure this out the stellar growth is gone.

  • 'iPhone 14' may have eSIM-only option, but it won't be universal

Hopefully it will be possible to have two eSIMs. I just moved my work number onto my iPhone using the eSIM. Two numbers on one phone simplifies things and the interface for doing so is super easy.

  • The Apple Watch 'future of health' on your wrist is likely still years away, say doctors

Medical monitoring device makers are setting up lines of defense to prevent being overtaken. Many laws exist to make it near impossible to enter these markets. Some companies probably see it as a long term risk when it is really a near term risk.

Much like BlackBerry and others they will drag their feet and be eclipsed. Companies making single use devices will be eclipsed by things like the Apple Watch that have their functionality built in along with a lot of other stuff.

These industries have close to zero competition because the entry point is costly. Apple and others have the bank to poach the key employees at these legacy companies as well as the software engineers with far more capability than those at device companies.

  • Zombie BlackBerry phones will finally die off in early 2022

The 3G kill off hits a lot of devices that most would not expect to. With most common being Alarm Panels. I’m sure there are lots of commercial uses for monitoring systems as primary or backup.

As for the Blackberry phones the last BB OS phone was released in 2013 and their last Android phone was 2015. These phones are just plain obsolete due to age and on top of that most definitely have security issues. If you own these it is time to pick up a new phone. Plenty of cheap to free options available.

  • Google Messages beta code hints at future support for iMessage reactions

No reason to allow Android in on iMessage or to adopt any other coming protocol. Nothing better than my Android friends being left out of the party.

Nothing says like the green bubble.
