    AppleTV app on any TV is a strip down version. The full AppleTV experience exists only on AppleTV hardware. Also AirPlay on AppleTV hardware has fuller experience than AirPlay on Samsung TV. AirPlay on AppleTV accepts close caption from iPad while AirPlay on Samsung TV doesn't. For that reasons and many others, AppleTV hardware is here to stay.

  • Target & Apple partner for more retail shopping experiences

    There was used to be Best Buy near my house and it was convenient for me to get Apple stuffs there. After it closed down, Target next door is what is left. So Apple inside Target will definitely help. Best Buy's many stores closing down affects Apple's store within. This Target deal is probably in response to the close down.

    I have a 2023 MacBook Pro M2 Max with 96GB of RAM and 8TB SSD from my work place (yep, I maxed out the spec). I use Adobe applications daily and I have to say that GPU from M2 Max doesn't work well with the latest version of Adobe Illustrator (v.27). It lags big time. I have to turn off GPU Performance under Illustrator Settings in order for it to run smoothly. All other Adobe Applications work fine with M2 Max GPU. Cinema 4D 2023 runs fine also. The internal SSD is incredibly fast. Photoshop launches in less than 2 seconds. Copying a 700MB file from internal SSD to external SSD is so fast that I don't even see a progress bar.... about 1 to 2 seconds.

    Funny how Sony CEO back in the 80's or 90's said the same thing when they were at their financial peak. Typical ego attitude and now they are beaten by Apple and Samsung and learned to shut up. TSMC thinks they are all up there now. History is repeating itself. I think American people know how to enjoy their lives. In Japan, you are lucky if you can take a vacation.

    I believe what's holding Mac back is hardware cost and lack of upgrading capability. With these factors, there will always be niche users for Mac OS.
