  • Move over Apple polishing cloth - Samsung has Z Flip jeans

Silly? Apple’s cloth is sold out through at least January.
Yeah, it's absolutely silly, and I stand by it.

It's not a requirement for a product to be good or make sense to be sold out.
Why is it silly to buy a $19 cloth guaranteed to work well on a $6,000 nano-textured pro monitor? I imagine that’s what it’s designed for, considering it cites the nano-texture displays in the product description.
    1. Because the Pro Display XDR and the iMac 5K customized with the nano texture comes with it.
    2. Because Pro Display XDR owners and the iMac 5K customized with the nano texture can get one for free through Apple support periodically.
    3. Because it is a bog-standard microfiber suede cloth, available for about $7 per yard.
    4. Because literally no other product requires it.

  • macOS Monterey may be bricking some Macs - but there is a fix

Since this seems to be a common issue with T1/2 chips, it seems Apple has neglected to add an automatic firmware rollback - very common in embedded systems. Pre-T1/2 systems were never bricked, the worst may have required a reinstall. Hopefully they've done a better job of handling a bad firmware flash in the Mx systems.
Pre T1 and T2 systems did get bricked with firmware updates from time to time, with about the same frequency from 2010 to 2015 as from 2015 to present.

Worse yet, there wasn't a Configurator option for users to deal with the issue.
Really? I don't recall seeing much noise about it, and we never had any in the 100 or so Macs I managed back in the early 2010s. I do remember there was a CD you could burn to re-flash the firmware, though I thought that issue had been resolved by the time CD drives were removed.
    Yup.

Honestly, this shouldn't have gotten as much noise as it should have which is why we wanted to look more into it after the breathless reports yesterday. The nature of social media gives everybody a bullhorn, as this is not now, and has never been, a major issue popping up in any quantity.

  • Apple's macOS Monterey causing problems with some USB-C hubs & docks

Cheap hubs follow no guidelines, expect troubles
Not true. They actually follow standards. The expensive once frequently do not. Apple is the biggest company that does not follow standards. It did not even in SSD disks areas years ago using proprietary controller that was on board rather than with memory like everybody else did. hence you had to buy "special" SSD just to satisfy bad idea design that did not make for performance anything, but kept you with buying overpriced upgrades  from Apple. And unfortunately in area of SSD Apple is not even near brands like Crucial or Samsung.
You very clearly have not reviewed any real quantity of cheap hubs. While a few are good, the majority of them do not follow standards up to and including port spacing, power regulation, insulation, grounding, and more. Apple's adapters and chargers are Apple-designed, and not rebranded. As it pertains to this article, Apple does not manufacture any hubs.

Apple uses Samsung Flash cells, and is one of the largest purchasers of them from the company. It has used the vendors that Crucial use as well, Nanya being a prime example.

Lol. Don’t worry about the lack of ports, just use a hub, they say.
Right now, for the most part, this looks limited to the brands with too many adjacent consonants in the name.

    We're still looking into it.
