Tim Cook responds to $14.5B EU tax bill with open letter, says decision will be reversed
That's right, it's all about Cork, community and job creation there..LOOOL BS
Meanwhile other communities in US are suffering big, communities at Foxconn and other factories are suffering while Apple's keeping 300 billion in cash to avoid tax
Glad EU finally cracking down on those unscrupulous corporation. Not enough for now but a good start -

Supply chain sources again point to Apple's 'iPhone 7 Plus' having 3GB of RAM
jdw said:Let's hope it's not a mere "are we still in 2012?" 3GB of RAM!
I've loved Apple products since my Mac 128k in 1984 and I've never owned an Android or Windows computer (although I've used Windows). I'm as loyal to Apple as they come, although no stranger to being critical of Apple when they deserve it. And yet, just last night I, a lover of all things Apple, found myself watching YouTube videos on the Samsung (blasted that rip-off artist!) Galaxy Note 7, which not only has 4GB of RAM but it's waterproof too, and includes a stylus, not to mention the rather attractive screen tech used, covered in Gorilla Glass 5. The thing even has a retina scanner for security. I then read where some people were hoping for 6GB of RAM in that model but probably SAMSUNG will include 6GB in the next version. And here we are in the Apple camp expecting a mere 3GB of RAM in the iPhone 7. The iPhone 7. Seven. This year. 2016. And it probably won't be waterproof either. And it certainly won't have a built-in stylus for drawing.
Some here may criticize me for not worshipping Apple and praising the status quo of mediocrity, but that's ok. I choose to Think Different. I prefer to be WOWed like the good old days when Steve Jobs was around. I miss Steve. -

Apple holds onto second place in slightly increased global smartphone market
This ain't 2010-2012 anymore guys! The reality is that apple isn't and won;t ever sell as many iPhones as they used to. I've been using iPhones since 2008 but considering getting another phone. I had a 5s that died on me 7-8 months after buying and a 6S plus that died in less then 5 months. Unacceptable considering how expensive these phones are. Just out of curiosity couple of days ago I held a beaten up Note 3 in my hand. Can't believe this is a 3 years old freakin phone that looks great, high resolution screen that covers most front of the phone without wasting real estate around like the iPhones, good feel in the hand pretty fast, 3 GB of ram, widgets, customization etc. The chinese also are making pretty decent phones for much less not to mention samy who's making those gorgeous ones. This is not $900 vs $100 or BMW vs crap comparison as some have suggested around here without even holding one of those 'cheap' phones in their hand.
