  • Apple to offset costly 5G iPhone components with cheaper battery tech

I must say, between the reported lack of 120HZ refresh rate, the lower battery capacity and unchanged notch I am very disappointed. 5G is a tech that rarely is available for most of us and is far less useful most of the time. This phone IF it’s as leaked will be a skip for me. Not understanding Apple’s skimping on a> $1000 phone.

  • Uber, Lyft granted reprieve just hours before shutdown in California

As stated above, this is just killing the little people for the unions. Uber and Lyft just allowed people who wanted to or needed to to be able to make a little more money. There is nothing about what they do that is employee like. They set their own hours, own the vehicles etc. All this will do is hurt the people who can least asked afford the loss in income. Great job California.

  • Lawsuit targets Apple iMessage, FaceTime flaw related to phone number recycling

Not fixing a major bug like that for 7 years is inexcusable. I normally these lawsuits, but a bug like that left for 7 years deserves a hearing.

  • Apple surveying users about iPhone AC adapters amid rumors they'll be sold separately

Even I have to say that Apple is being rather petty here.  I too have plenty of old chargers from prior iPhones and iPads.  I'm planning on buying the iPhone 12 and I expect not only a power adapter included with what will be a very expensive phone, but one of the highest wattage models available.  That way, I can retire the older, obsolete models.

Considering how much these chargers costs Apple to make compared to the entire cost of an iPhone, I as a consumer should decide what to do with my charger, and not Apple.
Well, I guess you won't be buying that iPhone 12 then.
I agree with sflocal. For what Apple charges for a iPhone I believe a charger should automatically be included. It should be up to us what we do to our charger.
So your logic is they should a charger few people use because the phone is expensive.

Totally rational, and envrironmentally conscious to boot. Well done sir.
IMO if Apple really cared about the environment they’d be more open to third party repairs after warranty period. It’s also really hard to square Apple designing the last MacBook pros to require replacement of the entire top housing if one key broke with being concerned about e waste and the environment.

  • Apple again rumored to drop charger and earbuds for 'iPhone 12'

“I am 100% behind dropping EarPods and chargers from iPhones and reducing their packaging and volume.”

Cause most people care about the packaging and not about the value of what’s inside. Years down the road the charger isn’t important it’s looking at the box it came in sitting on the shelf.
