  • Editorial: Reporting about the MacBook Pro is failing at a faster rate than the butterfly ...

This article brings out some very valid criticism of the news media extreme bias.

However, IMO the reality is this keyboard we a change for no good reason
Incorrect. Go back and watch the event video where Schiller introduced it. There is a good reason, such as being able to depress the key cap from the any portion, especially on the edge, and have it depress. You may not care personally, but it's a good reason.
So were there people complaining about the prior keyboard and it's "limited area of depression"? People had been using that for decades without an issue. Apple added a feature no one really asked for to try and justify their thinness quest and the resulting lower quality keyboard.

That's like saying we put a crappy engine in your car that overheats more frequently but the heat works great and much faster.

However, IMO the reality is this keyboard we a change for no good reason other than as few mm. How is it that Apple, the paragon of environmentalism went from a keyboard on the iBooks that could be swapped out in seconds and keys replaced singly to a non replaceable keyboard that costs $700 to repair (out of warranty prior to the repair program) and requires throwing out most of the bottom case and some components?

The keyboard up through the 2015 was the best IMO and while more challenging to replace could be.

  • Apple made informal bid to buy Tesla at $240 per share in 2013

Lots of people here saying Tesla is doomed, but of course the none of these commenters actually own one.

I've had 2.   Had the S, sold it and bought an X.  Terrific cars, love 'em, and I could never go back to driving a gas car after owning one.   Haters gonna hate, but once you drive one, anything else just seems terrible.

Don't pass judgement until you get behind the wheel of a Tesla and try it out, they are amazing.
It's not about whether they're great cars or not. It's economy of numbers and competition. The greatest thing can be an economic failure.

Clear waste of taxpayer dollars letting this proceed. There are alternatives to iPhones and the App Store. Ridiculous.

I don't agree.  There are alternatives to the iPhone, but not the App store if you're an iPhone user.  I'm not saying I agree it's an illegal monopoly (I lean towards thinking its not), but there is at least an argument there.  It's not ridiculous at all, or SCOTUS wouldn't have allowed it.  It means there is at least some substantial chance the plaintiffs will prevail.
If you're a McDonald's customer, there is no Whopper alternative to the Big Mac! McDonald's has a monopoly!
That is not a valid comparison at all. McDonald's did not allow third party vendors to sell burgers or food on each it's stores and then restrict ingredients and price etc.

Not saying I agree with this latest lawsuit but the comparison is not good.

Also with the way Europe is going Apple needs to have grasp the reality that at some point in the not to distant future one of the major regulatory bodies is going to rule against them as the "big bad evil greedy corporation" that provides tens of thousands of jobs, innovations tech and huge amounts of taxes to the world. They will need to deal with the outcome
