NSO malware accessed executive's iPhone within minutes
I agree. Not enough details...
As a general best practice, people should reduce surface area vulnerability of their devices. For example, I have both WiFi and Bluetooth disabled. (Unless being used)
I’ve also disabled the login using biometrics. And, I have my devices patched (lastest OS). My password length/complexity is supposedly enough to keep it from being cracked in my lifetime.
Am I safe? No. But, I’m not a member of the “low hanging fruit” for attackers. -
Conflicting information distributed inside Apple about reason for silicone MacBook Pro key...
nunzy said:This only affects a tiny percentage of MacBook. The whole thing has just been blown up by haters.
If it was possible, I’d rather have MacOS on Dell/HP hardware (business hardware not the consumer crap). Apple has done a great job on the iPhone & IPad and the OS in general, but they haven’t listened to their customers elsewhere.
I do think Apple has learned some lessons in the latest generation of laptops, but they need to get their Apple branded processors in laptops and workstations ASAP. -
Comparing the five major digital magazine subscription services
Kindle Unlimited doesn’t include magazines. It does include some audiobooks but it’s a relatively small number.
Kindle Unlimited doesn’t include all books, but you can usually find the first book in a series on Unlimited. It does include a ton of books, but depending on your reading preferences it may not include yours. If you’re looking for current “best sellers” it probably won’t be on Unlimited.
I’ve been an Unlimited member from day 1, and read enough that I’ve saved thousands of dollars.
Amazon does have something called Newsstand for magazines, but I don’t see bundled prices comparable to Unlimited...
I’ll take a look at Texture when Apple re-releases the service. It does look like a good deal, especially for people that prefer apps. I can see it popular with people the find the internet overwhelming. My parents still read the “paper” newspaper each day for example.

A year with Apple's 10.5-inch iPad Pro: the ideal worker's tablet
I have a 9.7 iPad Pro and it works great also... (I have a pen but don’t use it)
But the IPad design is looking dated. The basil looks huge vs. modern screen designs.
I don’t think you can get rid of it entirely because you need something to hold on to, but I think you can cut it in 1/2 to 2/3 without harming gripping.
Looking for big changes in 2018 for the iPad... -
Apple versus Samsung patent trial finally completely over
