  • Apple Vision Pro $3,499 mixed-reality headset launches at WWDC after years of rumors

Very few people understood the importance of "apps" when the iPhone originally launched.
Well.. Jobs didn't and at launch iPhone only allowed you to run Apple app as Jobs didn't want developers to use anything but Safari for apps. Jobs also changed the pricing on the original iPhone right after launch as it didn't sell.

It feels like Ready Player One meets swimming goggles. Have a look at what it offers with an open mind ... Unfortunately, I think it needs to be less intrusive, less costly for it to really take off. Maybe version 2 like google glass. Thoughts?
It does indeed! I believed the renditions were a joke... they were not. Super intrusive and the "Vision Pro" name feels a lot like Kendall introducing Living+ in Succession. Seeing a father doing a "dial your level of isolation" in front of his kids... disturbing. Where does it go from here? Gaming centers and defence?

In-flight entertainment but only for flights <2 hours?
Why is that? Every flight I've taken for the last decade has had power outlets for power. Maybe try to fly Frontier next time.
Well... I mainly fly Star Alliance in Europe. I don't see AC outlets outside long haul and then only on Business and Premium Economy. This might change, but it will take time.

Interesting to see Apple reducing the MBA 13 price by 8% in US (13.3% in EU / Euro). This indicates that demand was too soft and that currency rates are going to change.
iPad Air and other products are obvious candidates for similar adjustments.

As for MBA 15 - very nice, but it should have been delivered last year for back-to-school.

Social isolation as a product? I agree with those stating that it is good for wealthy singles - if you like ending up as a couch potato as happened to all the persons shown. It probably requires a max dose of Wegovy for you to stay fit.

In-flight entertainment but only for flights <2 hours? You can run Office (why!) while waving your hands (this requires major changes to interior design and open offices). It has FakeTime with your faux persona taking the spot - you will look the same distant you every day. The device is a technical marvel but a $3500... this could however end up being used massively by defence.
