Apple EU anti-competition fine is a relatively modest $570 million to avoid Trump retaliat...

Some poor American company Intel (Spotify) needs in because they have problems keeping up with ASML (Apple)?
Creating a popular product is never a problem. Using the monopoly to enter another market is.
ASML doesn't require for TSMC to use buy wafers only from TSMC and with a 30% tax due to technology. Unlike Apple and well... Tetra Pak (and they got fined as well by the EU).

iPhone 17e may be nearing test production ahead of a 2026 launch
I did the setup of a 16e and it is so bland. It will probably last forever but there is no emotional connection to it. The lack of colors and the design makes it less attractive than needed. It is a personal devices but doesn't feel like it. Unlike MBA which isn't a "so you couldn't afford the MBP". I do hope Apple will make it more personal. The e-series isn't exactly cheap.

EU puts Apple fine on hold while US trade talks continue

Have to remember that antitrust legislation saved Apple.
On API-access... pretty sure Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, B&O, and more would like for their headphone volume to be controlled by hardware volume buttons just as the AirPods. Those protected API calls for basic stuff are hard to defend. -

Have to remember that antitrust legislation saved Apple. As stated by Jony Ive “We (Apple) were within days of becoming bankrupt”. Then came Microsoft with an investment and a promise to deliver Mac applications as MS needed competition. It gave Apple the time needed to launch iMac and invest in iPod.
