  • Apple Studio Display update may arrive a year later than expected

Unless it is a chip swap and camera bump, Apple seems incapable of delivering anything in any sort of a reasonable time frame. Apple Watch Ultra they were able to come up with a new color and not even a better chip.
Indeed! Apple delivered the Mac, iPod (developed and launched in less than 12 months), and iPhone... all under the same CEO. For a decade the next big thing was going to be Car and AVP. Concepts copied from Musk + Zuckerberg. One didn't ship and one shouldn't have. Apple upgraded AirPods Max, keyboards, trackpads, and the "charge on back" mouse to USB C thanks to EU but let everything else stay unchanged.

I don't want to see Musk near Apple but someone should review project management and product development before Cook is going full Copland/Taligent on us. From Siri and iPadOS to not being focused on AI and still not delivering. Dell is shipping Tandem OLED in laptops and Asus (Asus!) is delivering Pro displays with tech Apple might use in 2026.

  • Tim Cook teases Feb. 19 launch of what is probably the new iPhone SE

Crazy theory. lol what if Apple is buying TikTok lol  what better company to be the face to quell privacy issues.  Food for thought. But probably unlikely.
Apple is in need of a SoMe platform where people show nice stuff. Buying TikTok... Apple can afford it and would be able to get it approved by the Chinese authorities. Any other US company buying TikTok could see their sales to China take a hit.

But seriously (or not so) the gloss of this thing tells us that Apple has one more thing planned for next week: Apple Polishing Cloth Pro™. Jony Ive returned to do the voice-over.

  • Apple is once again advertising on X, more than a year after stopping all ads on the platf...

This is a cheap way of silencing Musk. Using X for posting about privacy is Apple being witty and making the best of it. Kudos to the Apple SoMe team!

  • OLED MacBook Air pushed back to 2029, but MacBook Pro on schedule for 2026

I don't think screen quality is bad on the air.

The baseline people won't care, Apple needs to make it thinner.
I agree.  I have the M3 MBA and don’t care.  Display is fine.  I prefer a good value at a lower price than a fancy more expensive display.
MBA M3 is a very nice computer (using one right now...) and I much prefer it to my MBP 14" due to weight and balance. Also like the price and I don't need more display quality. But staying on LED beyond 2029 won't work. Dell is already shipping Tandem OLED in what used to be XPS. I do hope Apple will ship MBP M5 with OLED as an option.

  • Dubious leak details the exact specifications of Apple's foldable iPhone

Remind me, what problem does a foldable solve??
The sharp drop of sales in China and only having one form factor. For brand value and sales it must happen. iPhone Thin 17 could be a stepping stone showing some of the new tech.

Oh... you meant what it would solve for those buying one? No idea
