    It still needs a compelling reason to exist. 
    Excitement is why we need it. iPhone 12/13/14/15/16 are mostly the same: MagSafe, OLED, 5G, Face ID, and design define 5 years of iPhones. Lenses, (lack of) colors, an extra button, and the notch size are different. The main feature of 16 is 2 GB extra memory enabling AI in 1 country at launch. The hardware is standing still.
