This stupid obsession with thinness.  Is a few more millimeters to put a larger battery really going to matter?  What kind of reaction do they expect when they build garbage.  But at least they can say the spaceship is cool.  Over bloated monstrosity that will cost billions just to maintain.  Another poor design decision from Apple.  Apple, does the word Blackberry mean anything?

  • USA Technologies adding Apple Pay to more than 300,000 self-service machines across US

I cannot wait for full adoption of Apple Pay. The reluctance is everyone wants their cut of it or the data and it slows progress. Were it is accepted it is awesome.
65% adoption by end of 2017.
95% adoption by end of 2020.

Apple Pay becomes first mobile credit card in 2025 without the operating costs associated with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, etc.

Merchants flock to new "card" for security and reduced fees.  Apple begins earning 1% per month on its cash vs current 2% per year.
I would like to think a apple credit card of some type is in the works.

Love Apple pay.  Nobody ever says how really innovative it is.  It has changed the way I pay for things and I don't really worry about cash or my wallet any more.

  • Apple shutters Apple Watch gallery in London's Selfridges department store

I've seen more than a few Apple Watches in the real world recently. More than I expected to see.
I am a 57 year old who works in health care at a large mid western hospital. I own apple stock and my wife and I own iphones.  Two months ago I bought a apple wacth and I love it.  At work it is not uncommon to see half a dozen others wearing a apple watch,  I know Physicians, nurses and others who wear them.  I also see them at the gym,  So yes, I think apple is on to something.

  • Apple saw twice as many mobile device activations this holiday as Samsung, data shows

This seems to indicate that Apple is doing something right yet an earlier article bemoans the fact that Siri lost out heavily to Alexa.

Perhaps the real fact is that for most Apple users something like Siri/Cortana/Alexa/Hey Google is just not that important in the grand scheme of things.

C'mon Apple, how hard is it to come up with a competing product.  Let me guess, when it does finally come out they will have a big event.  They are too distracted with the spaceship while the competition comes out with new products.

  • MacBook Pro fails to earn Consumer Reports recommendation for first time

I saw the new MacBooks in person for the first time today at an Apple store.  I gotta say... looks like a super sweet machine to me.  The only thing that I didn't fall in love with was the keyboard.  After typing on it for a little while, I got used to it... but I don't love it.  Everything else though (TouchBar, chassis, screen, etc).... WOWWW!
I too think that their keyboards suck.  I like more heft or bulk in my laptops.  I do not understand their obsession with thinness.  Especially now with all the battery problems.  Don't they test these products before they come out?  Come on Apple.  Get your S### together.
