Yep, I think you’re exactly right. I don’t have a wired doorbell and have been waiting for a battery powered HSV option. So I’m pretty excited to learn more about this.

The consolidation by user of shows from across multiple apps is still a big feature of the TV app on the AppleTV and is something I would hate to give up were I to switch to Roku or something else. The fact that there are a few streaming apps that still won't integrate with it is frustrating, but for all those that do, its a big user win from an ease of use perspective.

I've been bitten by the Leviton in-wall switches as well. I just had to reset 2 of them last night. I've been thinking about trying these out as a replacement. I applied the GM version of iOS11 a week before the general release and haven't seen any real battery issues with my iPhone 6 after the first day or 2. There are a few programs that seem to startup slower, but nothing that really bothers me too much. For watchOS, I installed v4 on release day and haven't had any problems with battery life or performance there. I like some of the tweaks they've done even on my v0 watch. Overall, its a good upgrade.

Instead of waiting for the AppleTV to ship, I went into an AT&T Wireless store and signed up for the 3 months directly with them and walked out with the AppleTV 32GB in hand.
