COVID-19 disaster shows off Apple's true core
corrections said:dysamoria said:.His defensiveness of Apple is weird, conspicuous, and embarrassing, at this point. It’s like he’s trying to get Apple’s attention for a job in their PR department.
if anything perhaps I’m a bit lazy in criticizing people who aren’t very smart but have a big platform, while pointing out the obvious in how they are comically wrong. But I’m not defending anything that needs my defense and I certainly wouldn’t want a job in PR. Those people work so hard. -
A12Z chip in 2020 iPad Pro confirmed to be recycled A12X
I wonder if this is related to the chipset engineers who tried to start their own company while still working for Apple. Perhaps that stalled development for the A13X/14X. That started about two years ago if I recall correctly.Regardless, I hadn’t picked up an iPad Pro until these 2020’s dropped. I’m loving Procreate and Lumafusion on this compared to the iPads and Apple Pencil 1.0. -

Apple's Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro up for preorder on Amazon, supposedly ships on May 30

How about $1,499? What is the ‘taking the piss’ point for a keyboard with trackpad? $99? $199? $299, $349 ... for a keyboard & trackpad ... albeit a ‘magic*’ one?* ‘Magic’ - how embarrassing is that? I can’t believe Apple marketing ever pushed that, and can’t believe it’s been in use for so long.
It tugs at most folk’s childhood, especially those with income, when magic was everywhere, the books that were read to you, Santa Claus, good spirits, evil spirits. Magnets!! Magic./s on that last one -
Panicked selling of AAPL lets Apple buy back billions cheaply
sirozha said:tzmmtz said:larryjw said:There’s no media induced panic. It is more like computer algorithm triggered panic selling that explains stock drops.
Why anyone would sell due to the Coronavirus is beyond me. If you buy stocks long, why would this disease outbreak affect your stock holdings?
if you had unrealized gain from Apple stock, why sell now; losing on the downside value of the stock today, and paying 15% capital gains tax in addition.
If Apple goes down to $140 anytime in the next six months (highly unlikely), it’s time to take out loans and load up.
The Apple Is Doomed machination is strong with you.
