Apple's new iPad Pro gets M4 power, advanced Tandem OLED screens
discountopinion said:OMG so tempting to get the M4 IPad Pro with all the trimmings. I am holding out though to understand if the 8GB vs 16GB is of material importance or not for the future. -

ndornquast said:Some info to be aware of:- 10 core processor only available on TB versions, 256 & 512MB versions get 9 cores (3e & 6p).
- 1TB option is $600 (60%) more than base option, $400 more than 512GB version.
- Textured nano glass requires TB option.
- Wide angle camera is dropped.. only one camera on rear.
- GPS still requires cellular version, which is $200 upgrade.
I am extremely disappointed Apple continues to bundle options. Why should I have to buy storage I do not need to get the processor I want??
To get better processor and GPS, with AppleCare and tax is now $2,070.. and that doesn’t include any accessories.. and that’s the 11” version.
Will be interesting to see Apple announce their AI initiatives @ WWDC and how the on device LLMs will leverage (require?) the increased RAM and performance core.
Really hoping the iPad finally becomes a full fledge development platform. -
Apple said to be stealing tech from expensive suppliers to give to cheaper ones
So let's see. Apple partners with a company to develop X that company cannot deliver and wants to renegotiate terms that benefit them with no promise that the change in terms will allow them to succeed. Yet, somehow when Apple takes their IP, yes their IP, they paid the pervious vendor, that second vendor is able to succeed?
If you don't like the terms or don't think you can deliver then don't sign. It's their greed to cash in on the Apple supplier train that made them think they could when they knew they couldn't. -
Deadly Massachusetts Apple Store crash caused by faulty AI, says defense
Unintended acceleration has been an argument since 1986. No AI!
In the end the problems were the drive standing on the gas pedal when they thought they were on the brake.

As for requesting information from Toyota. The police should have tools to read the black box (EDR) data, especially for an incident like this. I doubt the defense will be happy w/what they find.
