All I want is a redesigned, updated iMac with thin bezel and the T2 chip. Apple is still holding out on that update. 7 years will the same old design.

I wouldn't use any if these app. Scrivener 3 refuses to support iCloud and makes you use dropbox (which I personally hate and do not trust) and while Omni app's are very nice and well done, they simply cost way too much. Apple Pages is an excellent free app and works very welll with your iPhone and your iPad. iA Writer is another wonderful app with works on all of you Devices and uses iCloud for a fair price. I even love to use Apple Notes app just to jot down a quick idea down the I have them. Whatever apps you decide to use, I just highly recommended staying away from any of them that doesn't fully support iCloud and any that try to do that subscription thing. If you pay for an app,  you should own it.

I would love to know where the new iMac Pros are. After Mac Pro price disaster, I need new iMac pro more than a new lab top. But maybe that just me...

You should never buy any software that charges monthly or yearly for their software. If you pay for something, it shod be years to use for as long as you wish. Also, this way you always know where your money is going.

Macxpress, I completely agree with you. I'd much prefer to buy the software that I know I need and know that I own it, then to ever "Rent" software. It's the same reason I refused to use any apps on my Mac or my iOS devices that require monthly fees. I even stop using all of Adobe's software and switch to Affinity designer and Affinity Photo instead. I'll pay full price for an app, but I'll never pay monthly fees. It's funny this article came out today, as I just saw another article a couple hours ago saying that most people aren't even aware of how much money they spend each month on suspicion services.
