Given the appalling history of the U.K. NHS regarding security of their IT systems I will never install an app based on them having a central database for all people.

Apple and Google should refuse to change their position.

Given the U.K. NHS has a terrible record over IT security there is no way I would trust them to keep a central database secure from hacking. If we accept that contact tracing is going to be helpful in preventing a second round of COVID-19 infection then IMHO the Apple/Google approach is the only viable one at present.

Shame it only works on some Dell Laptops, not all Windows PCs

I would love to see scheduled messages too - I had this on a Nokia device over 20 years ago and would love it to return. Great for New Year messages - write them at 6pm with a schedule for midnight and then enjoy the party!

Americium is an alpha particle emitter - which means they are so weak they won’t “escape” the detector (even a sheet of paper stops them!).
