Meh, the 'distinct tablet experience' is over a decade old and was stuck. Felt like they painted themselves into a corner. The main complaint of the iPad 'distinct tablet experience' was the lack of Mac OS features like multitasking, windowing, etc. How many times did we have to read over the last few years how the iPad Pro was a massive powerhouse gimped by the 'distinct tablet experience'??sflagel said:They just gave up on producing a distinct tablet experience. Agree. Aqua was candy with buttons looking like pills, big sheets, Genie effect, and more. This UI is absolutely next generation designed for iOS. It can disappear to reduce the UI chrome and focus on content. But it is vibrant, uses colors when needed, is coherent across platforms, and it seems they spent a lot of time on doing it right. Probably also designed for accessibility as any modern UI must be. Yep. Gruber has been very critical of Apple over the last few months. Reading some of his blogs made me think he'd have a hard time scoring his usual Apple execs. And it happened, they declined. LOL They'd rather avoid any real talk.
